CMS Berlijn meldt als volgt:
The winner in Category 1, “Machines“ (cleaning and care of buildings and outdoor installations) was the B 40 C-W walk-behind scrubber drier from Alfred Kärcher GmbH & Co. KG. The jury rated its shape, colour and function and decided that “ergonomically and design-wise it made sense and that it was in keeping with Kärcher’s corporate design“. All functional parts are in yellow and all the adjuster controls are in grey. The keys for operating the machine can be programmed for certain functions, including the user language. This ensures error-free operation of the machine despite the complex adjustments that can be made. The innovative and patented self-cleaning feature of the dirty water tank was also rated as outstanding.
In Category 2, “Equipment“ (cleaning devices and materials, workwear), the winner was the ErgoTec® Ninja window wiper from Unger Germany GmbH. The jury praised the “sensible and thorough work in developing the wiper, which features outstanding technical changes and design refinements as well as ergonomic handling qualities and a correspondingly well thought out design.“ Improved functions include items such as a solid, articulated handle, flexible rubber position stops, rail sizes of up to 1.05 metres in length, an innovative locking/unlocking system, two types of rubber blades, plus a new type of clip for locking and adjusting the rubber blades to avoid scratching window frames while cleaning.
In Category 3, “Washroom Hygiene“ (products, dispenser systems), the Purus Award went to TORK Performance, a dispenser system from SCA Hygiene Products AFH Sales GmbH. the jury adjudged the system to have, in particular, “outstanding handling features“, and to be especially well designed for use in sanitary environments, kitchens and workshops.
No products were nominated for the final round in Category 4, “Management and Solutions” (software for building services).
In the newly established Category 5, “Packaging Design“ (packaging design and brand presentation) the winner was the Pro Tec System safety concept for cleaning agents from Ecolab Deutschland GmbH. The “appropriately understated design“ of this logistics system solution impressed the jury. The system collects and replaces cleaning agents by a safe and efficient method, thus making a decisive improvement to the entire logistics chain, in particular during transit.
